STORAGE UNIT BASICS
What is a storage unit?
A rentable, enclosed room.
When do people use storage units?
The main reason people use storage units is to provide a safe and secure area for your personal belongings that you don’t need at the moment, or don’t have room for storing at your home.
What kind of items can I store in these units?
You can store many items in your storage unit, including household goods, furniture, vehicles, motorcycles, and old equipment.

Our only rule is to refrain from storing illegal items, such as drug paraphernalia, unlicensed firearms, and explosives.

It’s also a good idea not to store food in your space – it can draw bugs and pests and smell if it spoils.

ABOUT OUR UNITS
Are these units climate-controlled?
No, none of our units are climate-controlled at this time.

When can I access my unit?
You can access your unit 24 hours a day. You can drive up to each unit for easy access too.

What does drive-up access mean?
A drive-up unit is a ground floor, outdoor unit that has its own loading area. These units are ideal when you want to move your items directly from a vehicle into your unit.

What is a roll-up door?
All of our units are equipped with easy to use roll-up doors. Roll-up doors are similar to garage doors. You access them by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward.

Can I live in my storage unit?
In the state of Pennsylvania, you are prohibited from living in your storage space.

Can I bring my pet with me to the storage unit?
You also cannot keep any animals in your storage units.

You are welcome to bring your pet with you when you visit your unit though. Just be sure to clean up after them before you leave.

Are the units treated for bugs and pests?
We have a maintenance schedule in place to proactively protect the facility and against bugs and pests.

Do you sell moving boxes and storage supplies?
Unfortunately, the only service we provide at our facility is renting storage units. We don’t sell any storage-related materials or supplies.

MOVING IN
When can I move in?
If there is a storage space available, you can move in anytime! We will schedule an appointment to meet you at the storage facility, sign the rental agreement, and transfer locks.

What do I need to bring when I rent a storage unit?
Bring a lock, your driver’s license (or other form of identification), and cash or a check for your first rental payment – we will tell you how much you owe before you arrive.

Do I need to sign a long-term lease?
No, we rent on a month-to-month basis. If you need a unit for less than one month, just call or text and ask about our availability.

Do I need insurance?
You are responsible for the items you store. Make sure you have a homeowners, renters, or automobile policy to cover your stored items. You can also purchase insurance online through a third party.

How do I lock my unit?
Our policy is for you to bring your own lock. This guarantees no one else holds a key to your unit. For the highest level of security, we highly recommend a disc lock, which you can purchase at a local home improvement store.
MONTHLY RENT
What are accepted methods of payment?
Cash, credit card, or online via PayPal. Through PayPal, you must have an email address and a PayPal account, and then you can pay using a credit card or your bank account.

In order to pay online via PayPal, you need to identify this as your preferred method of payment during the rental agreement signing, or at a later date, so we can send you an electronic invoice each month.

When are payments due?
First payments are due at the time of signing the rental agreement – this includes:

-
The prorated rent if you start renting on or after the 20th of the month AND the full rent for the following month, OR
-
The prorated rent if you start renting before the 20th of the month.
Monthly rent is pre-paid and is due before or on the 1st of each month. For example, if you are renting your storage unit for the month of April, you would pay before or on April 1 for the month.

What if my payment is late?
Your monthly rent is pre-paid and due before or on the 1st of each month. We provide a grace period before charging a late fee on the 5th day past a payment due date. We will describe the full late payment process upon move-in. We cannot waive late fees and we don’t accept partial payments.

MOVING OUT
Do I need to give you a notice when I am ready to move out?
We require you to notify us of your move out date at least 7 days prior to move out. We will provide full details on the vacating policy at the time of move-in.
